Saint Barnabas Church, Howard Beach is getting ready for the commemoration of Barnabas on Sunday. After Paul was converted to Christianity, Barnabas welcomed him to Jerusalem, and later the two traveled together on missionary journeys. Also, before England adopted the Gregorian calendar, St. Barnabas Day fell on the longest day of the year -- which means those sunglasses will be put to good use!
