It wasn’t long after we left our 2016 Synod Assembly that we began to look ahead to this year’s assembly. Held May 11-13 at the Westchester Marriott, we expect this assembly to be a rich time together as we gather under the theme "Reformation 500: Faith Not Fear."
During our first two days of assembly voting members will elect three synod council members, consider resolutions for the future work of our synod, and complete the business of our cancelled special synod assembly. These pieces will be intertwined with worship, testimonies, and opportunities to learn about our church and its mission. On Saturday, May 13 we will be hosting a special event in commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the reformation. It will be a day that is free and open to all filled with workshops, speakers, a banquet lunch, and culminating in a Festival Eucharist.
