Sunday School

Starting on September 15, Sunday School for children, ages from Pre-K to 6th grade, begins at 9:30 am in the Good Shepherd Chapel. The morning session begins with a special children's sermon, where we celebrate baptismal birthdays and enjoy some music together. Afterward, the students head off to their respective classrooms for engaging lessons and craft activities. They reunite with their families towards the end of the service for a sending song. This program runs from September to June, providing a structured and educational environment for children to grow spiritually and socially.

Confirmation

Confirmation holds a significant place within the Lutheran Church, serving as a treasured ritual and an important rite of passage. While it's not classified as a sacrament, the confirmation program plays a vital role in nurturing and strengthening one's connection with God. This two-year program is designed to help students deepen their faith and understanding of their beliefs. Towards the end of the program, students will have the opportunity to publicly reaffirm the promises made for them by their sponsors during their Baptism. Students from 7th grade and above are encouraged to join the confirmation program, where they can embark on this meaningful journey of spiritual growth.

Bible Study - Midday and Evening

You can look forward to our weekly Hybrid Bible Study sessions held every Thursday at 1 pm and 7 pm, from September to June. During this period, the study groups will meet both on zoom and in Pastor's Study on the Gloria Dei Campus. See events for zoom link.

in July and August, we have a change of scenery and pace. We gather at Sunken Meadow Park for worship at 9:30 am, followed by an enriching Bible Study session from 10 to 11 am. This provides a refreshing outdoor setting during the summer months for spiritual reflection and community engagement.

Vacation Bible School

Each summer, we come together to explore and learn about God's love through various activities like crafts, games, Bible stories, music, and snacks—all centered around a specific theme. Vacation Bible School (VBS) in 2024 promises to bring a fresh and new way of learning. This upcoming VBS will focus on an intergenerational approach, bringing different age groups together. It will be held one night a week, specifically on Mondays from 5:30 pm to 8 pm. The evening will kick off with a light dinner followed by diving into the theme for that week. Registration is now open for both students and volunteers who want to be part of this exciting journey!

St. Peter's Preschool

St. Peter's Pre School holds a longstanding presence within the Huntington Station community, offering a nurturing environment where children can learn the fundamentals under the guidance of our dedicated staff. Our primary goal is to create a friendly and Christian-centered setting where young learners can thrive. Students actively engage in a diverse range of activities such as music, art, physical exercises, and even attend a monthly children's chapel session with our Pastor, fostering not only educational growth but also spiritual development.
Our programs cater to children aged two years old up to Pre-K, allowing parents to choose between attending classes for two, three, or five days a week based on their preferences and schedules.
