Rally Day - September 8, 2024
At the beginning of September we gather to kick off our fall programming with a service focused on the children. There is a BBQ and games.
Blessing of Animals - October 6, 2024 - 2 - 4 pm
Each year we gather on the law near the playground at St. Peter's Campus in honor of St. Francis to bless our furry, and not so furry, friends in a short service of prayer and individual blessings. (usually first Sunday of October) This year we add some other activities to make the day a celebration of God's creatures.
Thanksgiving - Community Service - November 24 at 7 pm
We gather with the community for an interfaith service to give thanks for all of the blessings in our lives! This year, United Lutheran Church will be hosting the event at out St. Peter's Campus. Please join us !
Advent at King of Kings Campus
Midweek services on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm which is preceded by a soup and sandwich meal.
Blue Christmas - December 21 at 7:30 pm - Good Shepherd Chapel, St. Peter's
A solemn service of readings and songs for those not feeling merry, merry this year. We acknowledge our pain and grief and let the gift of our savior fill us with grace, peace and love.
Family Christmas Eve at 4 pm - Gloria Dei Campus
A Family friendly Service of familiar hymns with candle lighting during “Silent Night."
Traditional Christmas Eve at 9 pm - St. Peter's Campus
A more traditional service with our musical groups leading the service. Service includes candle lighting during "Silent Night".
Christmas Day at 10 am - Gloria Dei Campus
A traditional Sunday Service with Holy Communion.
Shrove Tuesday at 6 pm - St. Peter's Campus
The evening before Ash Wednesday we gather for prayers and a feast of pancakes Blueberry, Banana, Chocolate Chip, (and of course plain pancakes too!) are enjoyed as we share in the tradition of using up our “sugars & fats” in preparation for Lent. Games for the kids are followed by burning the palms from last Palm Sunday to be prepared for Ash Wednesday.
Ash Wednesday - 1 & 7 pm
Services with Holy Communion and imposition of ashes
1 pm in the Good Shepherd Chapel on the St. Peter's Campus
7 pm in the sanctuary on the Gloria Dei Campus.
Lent at King of Kings Campus
Midweek services on Wednesdays preceded by a soup and sandwich meal.
6:30 pm soup meal
7 pm prayer service.
Quiet days are held during both Advent and Lent. They are led by Louise Litke and they offer participants a morning of quiet scripture and meditation on a seasonal theme.
Holy Week
Palm Sunday
Procession with palms and reading of the passion.
Maundy Thursday at 7 pm at Gloria Dei Campus
Traditional Service with Holy Communion and foot washing,
Good Friday
Stations of the Cross walk begins at 12 pm.This year we begin at Gloria Dei and end at St. Peter's with a light lunch.
Gloria Dei and St. Peter’s take turns hosting this annual walk between our churches; stopping for readings of each station of the cross. Lunch follows the walk.
Tenebrae at King of Kings at 7 pm
Tenebrae service of light to darkness–Walking with Jesus to the cross, and tomb, in readings and song.
Easter Vigil at 7 pm at St. Peter's
Traditional service of readings and hymns telling God’s actions in history from creation through Christ’s resurrection, begins outside the chapel with lighting of new fire.
Easter
We celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord with Alleluias at a sunrise service at 6:30 am and a family festival service at 10 am. Both on the St. Peter's Campus
